鈥淚 treated them, but God heals them.鈥 This reminder is inscribed on the back of a Bible Dr. Zayde Radwan received when he finished medical school. It鈥檚 a daily reminder of his purpose and calling into the medical field as an orthopedic surgeon.
In his stressful, fast-paced line of work, the words remind him he is not alone, and each night, the 2009 麻豆视频直播 graduate says a prayer for his patients. While scrubbing in for hip or knee surgery the following morning, Radwan again asks God to guide his hands, his mind and his eyes while in the operating room.
Even though he is not directly in the ministerial field, Radwan finds joy in being able to share a little bit of God鈥檚 light and love to his patients and coworkers. He knows he鈥檚 not just helping them get better physically but also spiritually and emotionally through his words of encouragement.
鈥淚 have long conversations with my patients, and it鈥檚 amazing the stuff people will open up and tell me,鈥 he said. 鈥淚 feel like God brings them to me not only for me to help them, but they鈥檙e helping me with something I鈥檓 going through.鈥
And on the occasional 鈥渂ad鈥 day at work, when doubt about his career choice creeps into his thoughts, Radwan says a patient always seems to reaffirm his path in life.
鈥淭hey tell me, 鈥楾his is what you are supposed to be doing; this is what God meant for you.鈥
