Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will host Science Saturday, on Saturday, November 12, from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Wells Science Hall on the Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ campus. Science Saturday engages young people in fun explorations of a variety of sciences. Admission to the event is one non-perishable food item per family.
Science Saturday features a number of exhibits, which have been developed and will be run by university students under the guidance of professors.
This year’s Science Saturday will include an interactive Minecraft exploration of the human body that allows visitors to enter a virtual patient’s mouth and travel through his digestive system. Children will also experiment with physics and engineering using a series of levers and pulleys. Another exhibit will even give kids the chance to build and launch soda bottle rockets fueled by air pressure.
As an added bonus, every child who attends Science Saturday will be given a free ticket the Cru Football game against Louisiana College at 1:00 p.m. in Crusader Stadium.
