Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥) is excited to announce that the Cru football team is headed to the NCAA Division III National Championship game this Friday. The Stagg Bowl XLVIII will be held on Friday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. EST/6 p.m. CST, in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium at Hall of Fame Village in Canton, Ohio.
On Saturday, Dec. 11, the Cru football program defeated the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks with a score of 24-7 in the NCAA Semifinal Game. With this victory, the Cru has won the chance to face the North Central College Cardinals for the NCAA Division III National Championship title.
The university is planning several special events to send off and welcome the Cru football team home. They will also host an official watch party in Crusader Stadium. The send-off event will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Cummins Field House at 2:45 p.m. Fans should wear their best Crusader gear, bring friends, and be loud!
The official watch party is scheduled for 5 p.m. CST on Friday, Dec. 17, in Crusader Stadium. Fans are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for a one-of-a-kind experience. The kick-off is at 6 p.m. CST, so arrive early to claim a spot on the field. No food or drink will be allowed on the field.
