BELTON, Texas鈥 The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (麻豆视频直播) is excited to announce many new degree programs beginning in the fall of 2023. Within the College of Humanities and Sciences, 麻豆视频直播 will offer a B.S. in Bioinformatics, a B.S. in Cybersecurity, and a B.S. in Neuroscience. Additionally, the university will introduce a B.A. in Religion and Public Life, a B.S. in Educational Advocacy, and a B.S. in Information Systems. 麻豆视频直播 piloted a B.S. in Social Data Analytics last fall and will officially add it to the list of new programs.

B.S. in Bioinformatics
麻豆视频直播鈥檚 Bioinformatics degree is an interdisciplinary major combining biology, computer science, mathematics, and chemistry courses. Students majoring in Bioinformatics will utilize knowledge from these four disciplines to solve modern problems related to biology and medicine.
B.S. in Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is the discipline that focuses on the protection and integrity of digital information and information systems. This new Cybersecurity program equips students with the technical and business knowledge needed to secure high-paying and growing jobs in this field.
B.S. in Educational Advocacy
A degree in Educational Advocacy is designed for individuals who want to foster the development of others and to help youth learn and grow. While not intended for students interested in becoming classroom teachers, this degree is a pathway for students interested in working with youth or children鈥檚 programs in various settings.
B.S. in Information Systems
The Information Systems degree synthesizes business applications and technology within a business context. Graduates will be prepared for roles in the high-demand Information Systems industry as business analysts, system developers, information security analysts, and related roles.
B.S. in Neuroscience
Often utilized as a premedical degree and for those interested in psychology or psychiatry, Neuroscience has expanded with roles in tech, finance, healthcare, consumer products, government, and more. 麻豆视频直播鈥檚 new Neuroscience degree is a multidisciplinary degree designed to be job-focused and innovative, allowing students to pursue various careers.
B.A. in Religion and Public Life
The Religion and Public Life major is designed for students passionate about justice and wishing to serve beyond the local church setting. This degree explores the complicated intersection between religion and American culture from historical, theological, and sociological perspectives.
B.S. in Social Data Analytics
Data is everywhere, and the Social Data Analytics program prepares students to analyze the information surrounding us. Graduates will be prepared for careers as data analysts or graduate work in sociology or data science.
While all new programs are offered on 麻豆视频直播鈥檚 campus, 麻豆视频直播鈥檚 Cybersecurity and Neuroscience programs were developed with the Lower Cost Models Consortium (LCMC) and Rize Education. The LCMC is a strategic partnership of private colleges and universities nationwide, collaborating with Rize Education to provide access to a cutting-edge curriculum that prepares students for successful careers. The program leverages project-based learning and allows students to create portfolios to showcase to prospective employers.
麻豆视频直播鈥檚 commitment to a Christ-centered education remains the focus for these programs as the university鈥檚 faculty implements faith integration within the curriculum.
