Employee Satisfaction
Maybe it’s the Christian atmosphere. Maybe it’s the beautiful campus. Maybe it’s the benefits or the fact that employees have enjoyed annual salary increases for the last thirteen years. Whatever the reason, Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ is known as a great place to work.
In 2013, 2015, and 2018, Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ faculty and staff participated in a survey to assess job satisfaction among employees of the university. The Survey of Employee Engagement, administered by the University of Texas Institute for Organization Excellence, measured employee perspectives on a wide range of topics, from work atmosphere and pay to training opportunities, technology, and internal communications. Scores were benchmarked against those of other universities and other organizations with a similar number of employees.
Overall scores on the survey typically range from 325 to 375. Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥â€™s overall score on every survey has been over 400, and 95 percent of the survey sections had scores that indicated substantial organizational strength.
It was the third time that Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ had participated in the survey and the third time that the school had earned excellent reviews from its faculty and staff. "Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥â€™s survey scores in 2013, 2015, and again in 2018 are among the highest we’ve seen," said Dr. Noel Landuyt, director of the institute.
That satisfaction is also reflected in the low turnover rate among employees and administrators. The average faculty length of service is 9.5 years; the average length of service among administrators is 11.5 years.
