Graduate Student Registration Checklist
The items below are intended to assist you with ensuring that you complete all important entry tasks. Contact information for each office is provided should you have any questions. Additionally, each student is responsible for reviewing the Graduate School Course Catalog to ensure understanding of the academic regulations and requirements, as well as information related to courses, fees, deadlines, etc. The course catalog is available for review online at graduate catalog. If you have questions regarding this information, please contact the Graduate Admissions Office.

Enrollment
Contact your respective department secretary or program director to schedule an advising appointment if needed. Most cohort format programs will enroll you in the courses you need to take. Be sure to confirm this with your department and/or the Registrar’s Office. Otherwise, your academic advisor/program director will need to clear you for registration before enrolling in courses online through MyCampus or on campus in the Registrar’s Office.

Students who have been advised but have not yet been enrolled or students who need to make changes to their class schedules may come to Room 1301 of the Sanderford Administrative Complex for assistance.
To avoid standing in line students who have received registration clearance in the student information system from their advisors may complete the above tasks by e-mailing their name, ID number, phone number, and courses to enroll in to registrar@umhb.edu. A confirmation of enrollment will be e-mailed within 1-2 business days.
If you plan to use Federal Financial Aid, please complete the FAFSA online.

Students needing to finalize their financial aid should go to the Financial Aid Office in the Sanderford Administrative Complex prior to clearing through the Bursar’s Office.

All students need to validate through the Bursar’s Office. A student's account is validated when the student informs the Bursar’s Office (though an email, a phone call, or in person) that the student will be attending the indicated semester and when the student has settled his/her account. An account is considered settled when the student’s account is paid in full or a payment plan through TMS has been established.

Cru Card – Student ID
All new students will need to obtain their Student ID card, Cru Card, from the Cru Card office. All students will need their Cru Card to obtain their parking decal and to complete other registration processes. The Cru Card office is located on the first floor of the Mabee Student Success Center.

MEDICAL INSURANCE:
Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ strongly suggests that each student maintain medical insurance. Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ is not responsible for any medical expenses you may incur while enrolled as a Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ student. If you do not currently have medical insurance, we will be happy to provide you with a list of resources. Some medical insurance policies require you to use an approved network of doctors, hospitals, and clinics. Please contact your insurance carrier for details and if applicable, obtain a list of approved healthcare providers in the Belton/Temple area and determine what steps, if any, you should take to change your point of service (POS) to our area. The Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ Campus Store makes it easy to find the exact textbooks you need for every class. For each class, simply select the Term, Department, Course and Section to see a list of all required texts, optional texts, and any materials specified by your instructor.
Textbooks must be ordered for in-store pickup only. Contact the Campus Store if placing an order for online classes that you need to have shipped. Rentals are now available online. igital books are an option for some textbooks and these are noted as Jumpbooks. Jumpbooks are non-returnable.
- Please understand that your credit card is charged when ordering textbooks.
- Please DO NOT PURCHASE textbooks if you are planning on purchasing books with a Cru card.
- Credit cards will not be refunded to allow payment with a Cru card when picking up your books.
Book vouchers are now available on the Cru Card. Notices of book vouchers were emailed to the official Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ email address on record. If you did not receive an email notice, and you have a credit on your Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ AR Account, you may contact the Bursar’s Office at cashiers.office@umhb.edu to request a book voucher.
The Campus Store is located in the Bawcom Student Union with an outside entrance, which is located to the left of the main student union building entrance.
